A. Parking -- Disabled Parking spot with access aisle on passengers side.

(rear curb ramp appears steeper than 1 in 12 by eye)
Number of disabled parking spots: 2 in front, 2 in rear

B. Accessible route to front door -- 36" minimum width.
Is there a clearly marked accessible route to the front door? YES for front parking
Is the width at least 36" ? YES
Are there any cross slopes? NO for Front Parking YES for rear parking in curb ramp.

C. Getting in the front door.
Is there a flat landing space in front of door (60" perpendicular to door) ? YES for reception
Is there 18 to 24 inches space to the latch side of the door? YES for reception NO for rear door
Is it a power door? NO
Is it hard to pull open? NO front doors very easy to open
Is the threshold flat or low enough to roll easily? YES front door
Is there at least 32" of clear passage width? YES
Notes: Rear parking leads to small card locked door without 24" latch side clearance and could be difficult to open. Also there is a new rear entrance walkway which is not ramped to the parking lot. A curb ramp would be convenient for people walking to the North meeting room building from the back door.

Is there a clear obvious path to the reception area? YES
Notes: Lowered Counter not obvious -- a sign on the higher counter directing one to the left end lowered counter would be useful.

Notes: Room #113 - no 18"-24" space latch side of door.

F. Getting in and out of the bathroom (Guest Rooms):
Where is the trash can? Small moveable
Do the bathroom doors comply with C. above (32" clear passage) ? YES
Notes: Doors swing into bathroom.

G. Using the toilet: Room #113
Is the stall/bathroom door easy to get into (difficulty, handles, latches) ? YES
Is the toilet 17 to 19 inches tall? YES Exact Measurement to top of toilet seat 17.5
Is there 30 or more inches clear space beside the toilet for backing in a wheel chair? NO
Exact Measurement: 4" (Center line to wall 21" instead of standard 18")
There should be at least 60" width with the toilet to one side and depth of stall should be 56 to 92".
Are there grab bars by the toilet: YES
Notes: Room #137 Toilet center line 18" from wall, only 11" space beside toilet to vanity. Inside room door has 18" latch side space.

H. Survey meeting room space
Notes: Looked at main building meeting room and adjacent bathroom -- good side transfer space beside toilet. Did not look at the meeting space in the old DMV building.
